THE WEATHER.

The following report is from Mr. F. G. Figa: Director of the Hongkong Observatory

Do the 27th at 6,0 p.-Black Drum hoisted. On the 28th at-5,45 a,~Black South Coșe and Black Drum boisted.

On the 18th at 12.15 p.-The barometer has risan moderately over the N. part of the Sea of Japan, and fallen inoderately over Tangking, S. "China, the Loochoos and Iunion.

The typhoon is situated to the S.E. of Hong- kong in about 19° Lat. It is apparently moving rather slowly towards W. Dr W.N.W.

The high pressure has receded to the Kart, ward of Japan.

Strong N.E. winds.may be expected in the Formosa Channel, and rough weather over the N. part of the China Saa,

Hongkong Ralofall for the sa bours adding, at 10 am, to-day, 0.01 inches.
