The plaintiff stated that the de- posit was not returned by Chan Yik Po to him on demand, and he claimed its return' and brought the action because he thought the firm were intending to close up their business.

In this action Mr. E. Potter (instructed by Mr. F. X. d'Almada e Castro) appeared for the sp pellants, and Sir Henry Berkeley, K.C., with whom was Mr. P. Sydenham Dixon, was fer the respondents.
