Chang Chil Tong, Superin tendent of the Canton-Hankey Railway is Canton, as a resident official to look after the interests of the Railway' in the "Kwangtung section (reported yesterday) the Directors of the Canton-Hankow Railway Company are now in a state of anxiety lest the newly- sppointed official might on occasions interfere with the working of the Company and that the railway might he reverted; to the official administration. The Company has therefore convened a meeting to take place on the 19th instant, consisting of the members of the aide Charitable Institutions, le merchants of the „Pevooty-Two ̈Guilds and other prommers of ibe Campany to disenss matters in anticipation: of any interference by this official.

TWO PERSONS KILLED IN ARMED ROBBERY,
