The following report is from Mr. F. G. Figg, Director of the Hongkong Observatory:-

On the 8th at 1.55 The barometer has risen moderately over the 'N.E. coast of Chius, and fallen slightly to S.E. Japan.

The anticyclonic area remains over the con. tisent to the North of the Vangize, and pressure is still relatively low to the E. Japan.

Fresh to strong monsoon may be expected in the Formosa Channel and the China Sea.
