THE DARE-DEATH SOCIETY. In Hongkong the Dare› Death Secret Society, which engineered the recent trouble, continues to pursue its terrorising mission. The Society has sent out more intimidating lettera to-day to Chinese of the better-class in Hongkong having tradal connection with the Japanese either as merchants, freight-brokers, or traders. The Society threates, toʻlopp off the ears of any uppatriatic_Chinate who persist in bandling goods of Japanese manufacture. Those threaten ing letters have bean forwarded to the police while Government has been approached on behalf of the threateped individuals to ex- tead'adequate protection and to empower the men to carry fire-arms for self-protection.
