The Silk ex R.M.S. Empress of China, which left Hongkong on the i6th ult., and Yokohama on the gth inst. arrive in New York on Sun day the 25th inst, thus making.a transit of 29 days, from Hongkong and zo days from Yoko- hama.

Another depression, which in moving East wardi, has appeared over Manchuria.
Pressure is highest and increased over China to the North of the Yangtze,
The monsoon will probably freshen in the Formosa Channel and over the N. part of the China Sea.
Hongkong Rainfall for the 24 hours ending at to a.m. to-day, 0.03 inches, FORECAST.
