Canton, 19th October. The disastrous' floods in the 'various districts of the North River are now ropoited to bavo all subsided. Some I lands in the district of Hoi Ping only are still loundated with poola of water here and there as reminders of the dreadful visitation. A report giving in detail the names of the villages that were inundated and the sumber of bouses that have collapsed and the number of lives lost in each case, in the Hoi Ping district alone, has been received from the first party despatched by the Central Relief Committee.
