The repairs to the transport Seicard are to be much more extensive than at first contem plated. In going over the ship in dry dock in Shanghai, the engineers have found that her cold storage department needs complete renova- tion. Müch of the wood work, etc. was found

EARTHQUAKE IN HEUNGSHAN.
On the 11th instant, after heavy rain ́a vio feul earthquake was felt in the Heungshan district within the city at 6 pm. The city wall was damaged to the extent of several cheungs, and a large number of houser suffered more or less damage. It is reported that several persons were killed.
