COWBOY BARONET IN LONDON
· THE THRILLING: SLÓRY, OF HIS.
ADVENTURES.
That decorative myth of newspaperdom, the Cowboy Baronet, Sir Genilla Cave-Browne Cave, about whom columps of intimate and romantic, siorios have appeared, though the baronet himself was never much nearer pressman or a skeriff than the man in the moon usually is, is now actually in London, in the
•Aash
He has had wonderfully full career, amongst tigers in Barmab, wild men lo Arizona, frontios, as a collector of big game trophies for opium smugglers and dacoits on the China à firm of New York naturalists, and as a fo'castle hand on Australian clippers. But the most amazing thing in his existence is that he should walk down Fleet-st, one day (yesterday it was, to be precise), and all but unrecognised as the hero of a hundred columns.
Fortunately, not altogether unknown, how ever. Here is his own story at last, given to a Morning Leader representative, and it excels even the spangled and chromatic yards which hare appeared round bis pame, from time to
time.
QUITE THE RIGHT FIGURE, Bir Genille, only surviving son of the late Sir. (490 Mylles Cave-Browne-Cave, of Stretton Hall Ashby-de-a-Zouch, scion of an ancient race, ar rived in London on Monday night. Thirty-nine years of age, big, brazed, and handsome, he looked quite the right romantic figure for his own story, His blue eyes were set in a face that might been carved in mahogany..

A GOOD OPIUM STOXY, He tells a good story of that life. There: was an Englishman I met out there whose business it was to import tes from Chipa ipto. Burmab. He used to load up on pack animals, and our fellows, acting as preventive officers, used usually to examine only the loads of the
first animals in the caravaq.
"But he made an awful mess of it one jour. ney. It seems he had been treating his coolies. As usual, he ordered up the first animal in the string for its load to be examined. X'e examined it. it was opium. We found half a ton of opium ln that caravan, and opium [5.9is worth its weight in silver there. To spite him, his men had put the tail animals at the head of the caravan, when he wasn't watching.
