CURIOUS STORY
"AMERICAN TALK OF LAWYER FOUND IN HONGKONG.
New York Tuesday, May 5-Through a newspaper story, William O'Neil and his sister, Dolly O'Neil, have traced their father, William Lane O'Neil, formerly an attorney with offices Da Grand Streat, New York, who disappeared twelve years ago,
The two children have been advised by James W. Ragsdale, American consul-general at Tientsin, Ching, that their father lived. at Top Flat 17, Elgin Road, Hongkong, China," up to March 2, when he left for Paris. Attached to Consul-General Ragsdale's letter was a newspaper clipping" calling atten- tion to O'Neil's disappearance. The missing man in known to have a brother in Paris and. the children have written their uncle and cop. fidently await news of their father, t
William O'Neit was a small boy when his father disappeared. As years went by the son formed a determination to hunt for his parent Last winter the young man corresponded with chief of police in scares of cities and caused a notice of the disappearance to be inserted in newspapers. One of these caught the eye of
the consul-general in China Neither of the *their father's failure
children can account for to communicate with them."
(The foregoing appears in the Shanghai Times of the 17th inst, and is believed to refer to Judge O'Neil who is well known in Manila, Hongkong and Canton, Judge Nail is at present in Hongkong.—Ed., 17, K. T.}
