Splendid weather conditions favoured the last Gymkhips of the season at Happy Valley last Saturday When the first race commenced at Fm the gathering that bad assembled within ike enclosure was a large pas, numerous ladies belbg present. The Band of the 3rd Middleas Regiment provided excellent music much to she delight of the spectators. Sir Frederick and Lady Lagard, accompanied by Capt. Oglo, A.D.C., and Mr. A. J. Brackenbury, private- secretary, arrived on the grounds after the Ladies Nomination Race, As usual the vicoregal party, was welcomed with a bar of the National Anthem played by the Regi mental Band. Their Excellencies followed the races with much interest and remained till the conciosion of the afternoon's proceedings. :

Results of the races are appended 13.00p.m.-GYMKHANA CLUB CHALLENGE CUP.-Distance one mile. For all Chion ponies! Catch weights at 10 i1-61b. Winners of an open, race or open griffin race 5 lb. extra. Non-winning subscription griffins allowed slb. Jockeys who have not won more than two official races in Hoogkong, Shanghai or Tientsis allowed 5lb.
