Then mouth number two, coming into range, will thunder the syllable "dy," followed at once by mouth number three, which will roar stone," and will be followed after a short in. terval by the fourth mouth, which would finish the message by discharging, like a cannon, the word "Light." A diaphragm, a compressed air tank and a re- volving wheel with slots in it like the common siren whistle are all the essential paris outside of the mouth and air pump.
