MURDER AT WEST.
TRIAD SOCIETY SUSPECTED
was that of a young unknown Chinaman, whose death had been encompassed by stab wounds in the chest and head. The body was removed, temporarily, to No. 7 Police Station and thence to the mortuary.
While at the station an exan ination of the remins developed wounds in such postitions as could not have been self-inflicted. There fore the occurrence points to murder, and the police are of opinion that the Triad Society is beginning to operate in the city after a long spelt of quiescence.
