YESTERDAY afternoon, a coolis made his way into a rattan dealer's establishment, at 84, Bonham Strand, and asked to be shown some of their finest bed mats. After some sorting the cool picked our one which cost fer, and told the shopkeeper to enter it in the account of a certain firm, the name of which he gave, .This the shopkeeper promised to do. But after a few minutes' thinking he became suspicious and sent one of his fatis to follow the stranger. When the firm to which the coolie said. be belonged was reached he made no attempt to enter but continued on his way. In the next sizeel the fati seized the man and handed him over to a policeman.
