None of the competitors gave any trouble at the past, and John Bill, on the top ground, got off in front of Slieve Gallion, Bezonian, Gal- vani, Orhy, Woolwinder, and Earlston. After running a quarter of a mile, John Bullietired, hopelesslybeaten, and Slieve Gallion then west on two longths lo advance of Beranito, All- Bl.ck, and Orby. Commencing the descent to the straight, Bezonian closed with the favourite, at and Orby became third, in front of Galvani and Ga'lect. As Slieve Gallion, swung round the bend in the straight, Orby was enabled to, take up the running from Slieve Gallion, Be-` zonian, and Woolwinder. Close home Wool- winder challenged on the inside, but he could not overhaul Orby, who won by two lengths; half a length divided second and third, Be- sonian was fourth, Gallest fifth, Galvani sixth, Earlston even.
