were American citizens, with the excepsion of Str. Yuensang from Manilat-Light NE. | Idomeneut, nonmouthshire, Newton Hall, Zen'and, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth--Pei Carlor, A.

Miss Moore, who claimed to be a Canadian, saying she left Canada when she was thirteen years old." Her parents were British but she. was willing to accept American jurisdiction.

All the accused, in answer to the Court, sald they had not yet been able to procure Counsel His Honour said they would be put under bood of 52,000 gold, each and to appear in Court on Friday morning at nine o'clock to be arraigned. Thoea who could not put up the necessary bond would be ki pt in jail. His Honour added that he would slate for the benefit of the accused,, that the Court would accept cash in lieu of bands. In the case of 'boadı, the bondsmen would have to be two suratlas, who were owners of real estate. They would also have to be American citizens.

Mise Van Buren said she was one of four that kept the house No. to Hongkong Road. The others were Miss Kendeli, Miss Tenny and Miss Grant who were her partners,

.

His Honour said, in regard to the other parties, all the facts in connection with them would come out at the trial. If any of the 'mccused wished to go to the `Bank and secure funds to deposit cash bail, the Deputy Marshal would accompany them, Certified cheques would be accepted.

The accused then left the Court in company with the Marshal in search of bail. His fon. our then directed the District.../torney to file information at once against "Miss, Tenny and ∙Miss Kendell and the Court adfhuined.

Ons or two of the nccused appeared to be distressed, notably Zaza van Buren, but the others appeased quite self-possessed and mere ly asked for writing paper and envelopes which, they sent off in various directions to find the neccesary bail, Cthers, again, went to the Bank in charge of an official from the Court, The majority found bail and were warned to appear on Friday morning punctually at nice

o'clock.
