The president of the Real Estate Trusi Co of Philadelphia died suddenly, and it was, says Reuter, reported in Anapcial circles, that an investigation of the compliny's and president's affairs disclosed a serious state of things. It is understood that the directors of the company. have pledged themselves for serural million dollars in an effort to preserve the concer. (A moeting of representatives of different banks and trust companies was held on Tuesday for the purpose of deciding whether assistance should be given to the company. According to recent statement the concéra had'an nggré. Rate of 7,500,000 dollars in deposits at ky disposal. The president, Mr. Frank K. Higgle, was treasurer of the board of trustees of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the United States. The company's
