South Formosa ports to Japan there has been inquiry at about 15 cents.

Newchwang has had no further inquiries for Canton. To load there for Amoy two'settle- ments are reported as effected in the local market for small cargoes at and at about 25

cents.

Coal freights, despite scarcity of tonnage, continue to rule low. Moji in Hongkong, business done at $1.40 and $1.30 respectively, Moj; in Sai,on at $300, Mororan to Hongkong at $1,do per ton.
