Sec. 5 That - Chinese persons shall enjoy the privilege of transit across the territory of the United States in the course of their journey to or from other, countries, subject to such regulations by the government of the United States as may be necessar, to prevent said privilege of transit from being abused,
Sec. 6. That any Chinese labourer charged with being unlawfully in the United States or its teritories may be desained or arrested only upon a warrant issued upon a complaint, under onth, filed by any party on behalf of the United States, by any justice, judge, as commissioner of any United States Court, returnable before any justice, judge, or commissioner of a, United States court, or b fore any United States court. and when convicted upon a heating and fourd and adjudged to be not lawfully entitled to be or remain in the United States, such person shall be removed from the United Sintes in the said the country where he came, arrest, hearing. n trial such Chinese fa bourer shall be entitled to all the rights, privileges, and immunities, provided by the Constitution and laws of the United States, enjoye. by the citizens or fubjects of the most lavoured anties,
