Mischa Elman's father has been offered the sum of £30,000 for the temporary control of the boy violinist's services. Mr. Daniel Meyer, who has managed Elman's English, concerts, would not advise the acceptance of this offer. Apart from other considerations, he is con- fideat that the boy can make a great deal more money in the specified time. A few years ago, when Elman was unknown, and his parents in struggling circumstances, they refused a still more attractive offer. This was made by the Princess Urusof (president of the village of Talnoje, in Southern Russia), who desired to make Elman her adopted son, but with the condition that the child, should renounce his. Jewish faith. Young Mischa Elman has pro- vided the text for numerous psychological speculations. He has not only a wonderfullyW.Y.T. Co., 1.752 Pieces ROUGH LUMBER;
