CANCER CURED BY
INOCULATION.
↑ ondon, Jan, 18.—The efficacy of treatment of cancer by inoralation of trypsin has just re- ceived a striking demonstration in a series of experiments conducted in the research labora tory of the Edinburgh University, under a grant from the Carnegie trust. From among seven or eight cancerous mice several were selected. and all but ette were injected with a trypsin
solution. After twenty-two days from the date of the experiment the uninoculated mouse died of cancer. The tumor was found to be as large as the last Joint of a man's thumb,'
One of the mice inoculated with trypsin died apparently from injury caused by an accident in the cage, after it had been ten days under observation. The tumor was found to have been already in an advanced stage of de generation. On the twenty-second day, whon | the "control" mouse died, the cancerous growth of the other trypsin mouse was found to be only as big as a lentil,, which is only an apology for a tumor. The growth was in an advanced state of degeneration, shrinking away to nothing and quite harmless.
