Moore's heroine, Lalla Rookh, had many thrilling stories told her to beguile the tedium of her journey, and the crew of the Liverpool barque Laila Rookh had an even more wonder- ful story to tell on their arrival at Falmouth.

The Lalla Rookh left Brisbane, Australia,

her voyage occupied 197 days. A premium with a cargo of wheal on 21 March last, and

of 90 guineas per cent, was paid for her insur ance at Lloyd's on the 1st October. On 4th October she was posted as having been los! with all hands. Then, with dramatic sudden. ness, she appeared on Friday off the Scilly Islands, and, failing.lu with a tug, was towed into Falmouth.

MET STORM AFTER STORM. But for her bull, coated with rust and barna- cles, her broken bulwarks, and a few other damages, she betrays nothing of her eventful voyage. Ber, skipper, Capt. Crawley, when with "all hands," replied that the vessel had certainly come under the water rather than over it. For 70 days they eaconátered a suc- cession of fierce easterly gales, during which, huge seas swept over the vessel. For daya together the bulwarks were under water, and the crew had to move about the deck aided, by life-lines. Oil bags were used in front of the vessel with good effect, though the conditions were such that, the crew suffered untold dis- comfort.

- WAM'OLY'S PAPPAÑA, "OP" and given it to their daughters, they would have grown to be strong and healthy women. It is palatable as honey and contains all the nutritive and curative properties of Pure Cod Liver Oil, extracted by us from fresh cod livers, combined with the Compound Syrup of Hypophosphiles and the Extracts of Malt and Wild Cherry. In building up pale, puny, emaciated children, particularly those troubled with Anemia, Scrofula, Rickets, and Bone and Blood diseases, nothing equals it; its tonic qualities are of the highest order. A Medical Institution says: "We have used your preparation in treating children for coughs, colds and inflammation; its application has never failed us in any case, even the most aggravated bordering on oniappeun The children like it, and it builds. up their bulies; many little children owe their lives to it." The more it is used the leas will be the ravages of disease from infancy to old age. It is both a food and a medicine,- modern, scientific, and effective from the first dose. It never deceives or disappoints, and is the medicinal triumph of our time. “There is no doubt about it." Sold by chemists..
