The Anglo-Japanese Treaty,

A letter from Lord Lansdowne, dated 6th September, instructe Sir Charles Hardinge to communicate the text of the Anglo- Japanese treaty to the Russian Government. The letter explains that the Treaty, which was signed of the 12th August, was not published befora in view of the peace negotiations.
Lord Lansdowne, trusts that the Russian" Government will recognise that the new agreement is an 'international Instrument, unexceptionable to the Powers interested in Far Eastern affairs..
