The Messageries Maritimes, which, in con- junction with the Chargeurs Reunis, inaugural ed a new service between Antwerp and China in January last, is about to extend the terminal port from Shanghai to Japan. The service, monthly at first, will be effected alternately by steamers of the two companies. The first de: parture of the line on Aug. was the Chargeurs Reunis steamer miral jour¿quiberry, from Antwerp, and will be followed by the M.M. steamer Annum on Sept. 1.

Besides which he hid al-eady said all he had to say, and that had already been published.

The Kinshan's first class accommodation being entirely engaged by this party under arrangements made by Mr. Lay, a number of intending visitors to Canton, relying upon securing passages on board, had the alternative of postponing their trip or "dassing it out in the saloon.
