RUSSIAN LOSSES.

** SHIPS

AGGREGATING 153,411 TONS,

Tokio, 30th May, 10.30 p.m., (received 31st May, 5 a.m.) The official statement of the Russian losses so far ascertained is as follows:-

The following six battleships were sunk -Knios Suvarof, Imperator Alexander III., Berodino, Ostiabin, Simoi Veliki, and Nazarin.

The following five cruisers were sunk →→→ Admiral Nakhimoff, Dmitri Doanko, Vladimir Monomach, Svitlana, unit Žemt-") chuy.

A coast-defence ship, the Admiral Que hubag, was sunk'; two special service ships, the Kamtchutku and Hutish, and three destroyers were also sunk..

Two battleships, the Orel and Imperator Nicholni L, two coast-defence ships, the General Admiral Aprucin and Admiral Sen- yuri, and one destroyer (Biedory) were captured.

Thus Russia lost altogether twenty-two ships, whose aggregate tonnage amounts to -153411 tons, besides the cruiser Almuns, which is suspected to have been sunk.
