The signals are repeated on the fagstaff of the Godown Company at Kowloon, and alto, by day only, at the Harbour Office and on H M's Receiving Ship.

LOCAL STORM-WARMINGS.

The Colony itself is warned of approaching typhoons by means of the Typhoon Gen placed At the food of the mast, which is fired whenever strong gale of wind is expected to blow here.

Masters of vessels or their agents may, whenever necessary, call at the Telegraph Company's Office in Connaught Road and send telegrams to the Observatory asking for special information without charge. Such Inquiries may also be sent from the Police Station at Kowloon Point which is connected with the Observatory by telephone.
