staterooms, saloon, and lavatories.
The ap pointments and furnishings throughout are in every way equal to those in first-class river steamers, while the equipment, including steam warping capstans, steam windlass, and sleam steering gear for working her two rudders, will render her safe and easy in handling.
The Siangtan will be propelled by two sets of direct-acting, inverted, triple-expansion jet. condensing engines, with cylinders gin., 14in. and 23in, and a stroke of igin, which will be capable of developing together about 600 1. H. P. atraço revolutions a minute. The steam will be supplied by a Yarrow water-tube boiler for working pressure of 250 lbs. pressure which will be reduced to 190 lbs, at the engines. She is fitted with a closed stakehold.
This boat is a departure from the usual practice adopted locally, and we have no doubt she will be the forerunner of many others for the special purpose for which she is intended. She has accommodation for eight foreign first- class passengers, eight first-class Chinese, and 144 third-class Chinese. There is good ac cómmodation for captain and officers. Her light draft is about 3 feet, and loaded 7 feet and her carrying capacity is about 730 tons. She has efectric light throughout,

years ago I somehow had my shin grazed by the machine. I took little notice at the time, but the sore did not heal as I expected, and 1 WA compelled to go to a doctor. Then I learnt | that the harmless little cut had developed into angry Eczema. It spread over my body, and even invaded my face. I do not like to re- member how abffered then and for many Complete Change of Programme ench Concert. but evidently I wanted something more, than years afterwards Modicine I took-continually, ordinary medicine. To complete my misery the Eczema setied round.my eyes, and I was

a friend
asked me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I noticed that the sores looked Ic15 'angry after I'd taken a few of the pills, My face was better, and

I ate better, I went about as if I had something to work for. Up to that time 1 wanted to shun my fellow-men. As I still continued Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, the Eczema gradually disappeared, and I no longer feared the loss of my sight."
Here is another instance, following thousands already published, of the remarkable curative
power of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills in an im poverished and vitiated state of the blood. When a serious skin disorder of such long standing as Mr. Lamacraft's complaint yields to the pills, it is not surprising that they afford such prompt relief in more ordinary cases of scrofula, anemia, blemishes and spots on the face, and sallow complexions. Thousands of once sickly, Anaemic Girls now show the roses of health in their cheeks, thanks to Dr. Wil liams' Pink Pills; while former, sufferers from ricamatism, kidney disease, indigestion, bile, liver complaint, St. Vitas' dance, and the more serious nervous disorders, have testified to the value of these pills.. Look for the full name, Dr. Williams' Pink Pils for Pale People," if you purchase at a shop: you will then obtain the pills that cure. If in doubt order from Dr. Williams Medicine Co., Holbora-viaduct, London, who will forward post free for 25. gd. one bottle, or 135. 94. for six bottles.

The freight market has pat undergone any material change during the past fortnight and the amount of chattering transacted is about the same as last reported. Whilst business. as far as the southern rice ports is concerned, is still dragging, inquiries for suitable connage on monthly terms have continued coming in from Japan and fair rates are still being paid, particularly for small-sized boats of light draft, baving tween decks and cargo ports and pro- bably intended for the Newchwang/japan trade.
