We have received from the Hongkong Observatory a new code of meteorological signals which comes into force at Hongkong on New Year's Day. They are the same as those at present in use at Shanghai, and will ba hoisted on the mast beside the time-ball at

Kowloon Point for the information of mastèrs. of vessels leaving the port. They do not necas.

NOTICE TO CONSIGNEES. CONSIGNEES of Cargo from London ex L Matapan and Charante, from Havre cx ss. Matapan, and from Bordeaux ex as, Leroy Lailler, in connection with above Steamer, are hereby informed that their Goode, with, the exception of Opidm, Treasure and Valuables are being-loaded and stored at their risks into the Goddwas of the- Hongkong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown [1388 | Co., Limited, at Kowloon, whence delivery may be obtained immediately after landing.
