AT the usual weekly dance of the dock, em ployees and their friends, held at the Kowloon docks on Saturday night, Mr. R. Mitchell, con- tracting superintending of the dock, presented, Mr. Newman Mumford prize in the billiard- tournament, the winner being Mr. E. Herton who defeated M, W. Crawford (owes 10) in the final by 200 to 85. Mr. G. Humphreys took third prize from Mr. J. Parkes (owes 75) by 200 to 175. In making the presentation Mr. Michell mentioned incidentally that Messrs. Bailey and Murpy had kindly come forward with an offer of a further prize, and hoped that the firm would, in their generosity, not forget the Lalies. Mr. W. Stewart thanked Mr. Mitchell for making the presentation and hoped the time was not far dis ant when their contracting superintendent would come for ward with a prize.
