Pacific Liners Warned.

San Francisco, September 12tb. The steamship America Maru of the Toyo Kisen Kaisha line has been warned that the Bussian cruiser Lena is here. The Lena arriv- ed-Sunday from the north and comes here on account of the pressing necessity of having her poilers cleaned. They are very foul, and must be thoroughly overhauled before the cruiser

can proceed sea.

The agent of the Toya Kisen Kaisha, the great Japanese company which formerly rin the Nippon Maru, America Maru and Hong kong Maru between San Francisco, Honolulu, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagasaki, Shanghai and Hongkong with the usual trips to Manila, cabled the company's head office at Tokio as soon as the cruiser arrived.

The America Mary is the only one of the line now a passenger vessel. The Nippon Mari: is understood to have been sunk off Port Arthur daring the effort made by Admiral Togo's fleet to bottle up the Russian squadron in that harbour. The Hongkong Mary is acting as e transport or auxiliary cru ser, and only the America Miru has been retained on the rún. She, too, was originally taken over by the Japan ese war office but was found not to be needed, and so was restored to her owners

When last heard from the America Maru was at hanghai, having cone from San Francisco with plenty of passengers and freight. Her commander is Captain Philip Going, an Englishman and competent scaman. She is a vessel of about 6,000 tons, steam ng usually 15 knots but able to da 18.
