BRITISH EMPIRE STATISTICS,
"The South Wales Investment Circular," published by Messrs. E. T. Lyddon and Soca, stockbrokers, of Cardiff, has compiled the following interesting statistics and details te garding the British Empire :-"The land area of this planet is stated to be about 50 million square miles. Of that there are about two or three millions which are locked up by glacial ice, leaving some 47 or 48 millions for some kind of occupation by man and the wild animals. As to population in the British Empire, there are about, 52 millions of the white race and over 350 millions coloured bearing about the same propriion to the whole population of the world as the area does. The revenues of thist enormous mass of Govern. ments total up to some goo millions sterling per annum, which is nearly equally divided between the home Administration and the colonies and territories. * He served his country worthily and well for fourteen years in India, and the trying climate broke down his health. After suffering untold misery, and turning a ghastly colour, a mixture. of green and yellow, he was invalided home to Netley Hospital. He remained there three months, but not regaining his strength, he was discharged as incurable. Anemia and palpi- tatigo of the heart are the diseases on which this discharge is based. He now lives at 1, Churchfield-road, Hanwell, nt. London, and siate his return to civilian life has been treated at
St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington. For twelve months he was treated for these complaints. | He has been also a constant visitor at the Han-
well Cottage Hospital...
Mr. E. W. Huni (from a photograph), We now take up the story in his own frank and intelligent words.
"I used to walk nhout," be said, “looking like a corpse. 1 had often read of the wonder ful cures effected by Dr. Williams' pink pills for pale people, and 1 asked my wife to get me a box. The effect of the pills was simply marvellous. I had been walking about with a couple of sticks just like a cripple for eighteen mouths, but within three days of taking the
pills 1 felt better. I only took two bottles, and I was then fully recovered. Everybody was astonished when they saw me walking about, and would hardly believe me when I told them that Dr. Williams' pink pills for pale people had effected the cure."
"I am a painter by trade," he continued, and I am now able to follow my usual employment with perfect ease. If ever I feel the slightest return of my old complaint. I fly to a bottle of Dr. Williams' pink pills for pale people, and soon feel well again. I have taken five bottles of the pills during the last two years."
"How do I feel now?" "Why I never felt
so well in my ble. I am putting on weight
every day."
