THE CHINESE LABOUR CONVENTION,
A Parliamentary paper (Africa No. 6, 1904, ign Office, giving the text of the "Convention Cd. 1956) was issued on 19th ult, by the "For between the United Kingdom and China res pecting the employment of Chinese fabour in British colonies and protectorates," signed on May 13 by Lord Lansdowne and the Chinese Minister in London. The preamble states that the object of this Convention; was to provide regulations in accordance with Article V. of the Anglo-Chinese Convention of Peking of
October 24, 1860. The articles are as follows
