At 2.40 pm, on the 13th inst. in Lat. 19.55 N., Long, 112 30 E., passed the s.s. Ir. layo steering S. 33 W. with lighter in tow marked R. P. No. 2.
Str. Roon from Yokohama:-Left there on the 5th inst. experienced Wily winds, weather overcast with rain; Kobe to Nagasaki met light Ely winds, in the beginning fine weather, afterwards overcast sometimes rain, smoo h sea; there to Shanghai had fresh N. and N.E winds, cloudy weather and light ea, arrived Woosung on the roth at 4.30 pin, left Shang- hai on the 12th and arrived Hongkong on the. 15th during the voyage experienced cloudy weather sometimes rain, strong N.E. monsoon,! rough sea and swell from the same direction.

On the 15th at 11.15 am. The baromeler has risen in japan and fallen in Formosa and the Loochoos; in South China and the Philip pines there is little change.
The high pressure remains over North China, and grubients continue very sleep on the China Coast,
Formosa Channel, and strong NE. to E. winds Very strong monsoon will be met with in the in the north part of the China Sea.
