On the 4th at 11.45 a.m. The barometer has risen in Japan, where pressure is now highest, and fallen at all other stations.

An extensive area of low pressure lies over the whole of China, having its centre probably in the Yangtse valley.

Gradients are slight on the China Coast and over the China Sea. Moderate SE. winds will! be met with in the Formosa Channel, and S. to SW. winds in the north part of the China Sen Forecast-moderate 8, winds ; cloudy, fair.
