A shallow area of low pressure, which paired over the E. coast of China last evening, has reached W. Japan this morning.

Pressure is again high over Central China. The monsoon will freshen in the Formosa Channel during the next 24 hours. Strong

Masters of vessels or their agants may, whenever necessary, call at the Telegraph Company's Office in Connaught Road and send telegrams to the Observatory asking for special information without charge. Such inquiries may also be sent from the Polica Station at Kowloon Point which is connected with the Observatory by telephons,
