Str. Eastern from Melbourne:-Left Sydney on 29th ult. Calls were made at the usual Queensland ports, experienced variable winds, i with fine weather to Port Darwin, thence to

Manila N.W. winds and fine weather, Manila was left on 17th inst. at 4 pm, and moderate N.E. monsoon was experienced during latter end of the voyage. On the 17th inst, the bark Elizabeth Nicholson was spoken in Lap.,4°29 S. Long, 127 41 E, and the LM.S. Kanga Afars bound for Australia of Limbe Island on

the 12th.
