quadrant, N.E. to SE)

A BALL indicates a typhoon to the West. ward of the Colony, (f, in the Weat quadrant, S.W. to N,W.)

A CONE Point Upwards indicates a typhoon to the Northward of the Colony, (ie, in the North quadrant, N.W. to N.E.)

A CONE Point Downwards indicates a ty

phoon to the Southward of the Colony,

in the South quadrant, S.E. to S.W).

Red Signals indicate that the centre is believ-

ed to be more than 300 miles away from

the Colony,

Black Signals indicate that the centre la be

lieved to be less than 300 miles away from the Colony..
