NOTICE is hereby given that an EXTRA-
ORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
of the CHINA LIGHT AND POWER COMPANY, LIMITED, will be held at the COMPANY'S OFFICES, No. 14, Des Voux Road Central, Victoria, Hongkong, on SATURDAY, the 27th day of JUNE, 1903, at in the FORE NOON, when the subjoineil Resolutions will be proposed, viz.:-.

That the capital of the Company be reduced from $300,000 (divided into 15.000 shares of $20 each) to $150,000 (divided into 15,000 shares of $10 each) and that such reduction be effected by reducing the nominal amount of all the shares in the Company's capital from Sto to Sto per share."
That alter such reduction the capital of the Company be increased from $130,000 (divided into 15,000 shares of Sto each) to $3 oros (divided into 30,000 shares of Sto each) by the creation of 15,000 new shares of Sio each to be offered and if accepted to be allotted to the present shareholders of the Company in the ratio and proportion of one new share for every old share in the Company beld by the respective shareholders Thereof." 3. "That in cupsideration of the guarantee and undertaking now given by Messrs. Shewan, Tomes & Co. (the General Managers of the Company) and testified by their signature hereto (and to be further testified by the execution by the said Shewan, Tomes & Co. of a separate instrument of guarantee to be executed contemporaneously with the Debenture Trust Deed or Mortgage hereinafter re- ferred to and to be held by the Trustees thereof to be appointed as hereinafter mentioned) that the dividend for the years 1903, 1904 and 1905 in respect of the new shares referred to in the second of the preceding resolutions shall not fall below the rate of 6 per centum per annum in each and every one of the said three years the said Shewan, Tomes & Co. as such General Managers as aforesaid be and they here. by are authorised to issue Debentures to the amount of not more than $203,000 on the property of the Company to be

Two powerful Twin Screw Towboats are available for taking Vessels in or out of Dock, and for taking Sailing Vessels in or out of the bay. The floating derrick is capable of lifting 35 tons.
Steam Launches of Steel or Wood, Lighters, Steel Buildings and Rools, Bridge Work, and all kinds of Machinery are made on the premises.
Tenders will be made up when required and the workmanship and material will be guaranteed.
The cost of Docking, and repair work, will he found to compare favourably with that of any port in the world.
