THE PRINCE OF SIAM.
A few minutes after eight o'clock on Sunday morning the white bows of the Maha Chakrkri appeared through the dimm mist overhanging the Lyeemun Pass; and as the trim little protected cruiser slowed dowi in the Admiralty anchorage British and foreign men-of-war and cruisers dressed phip and fired a Royal salute in honour of the coming of the Crown Prince of Siam, H.R.H. Somdeth Chao Fa Maha Vajiravudh,
who has just completed his twentieth year, has resided in England since 1895, when, upon the death of the eldest son of the King and Queen, he was acknowledged as heir to the throne of Siam. The Crown Prince, who speaks English and French fluently, is 2 most interesting personality, and, although he dnes not appear more than 16 years of age, is a serious-looking young fellow; for he has always been a student, and is said to be one of the most learned persons in Siam.
