The Holl steamer Duca ion which arrived from England last Wednesday night with 146 men of the Derbyshires, and is still in port has of late had considerable trouble on board.

Yesterday afternoon, while working cargo, Leong Ham, a coolie, acc.dentally fell down one of the hatches, nd fractured his skull. He was removed to the Government Civil

Hospital where he shortly afterwards died. This morning Mr. F. A. Hazeland (Coroner) held in inquiry into the cause of dealb. Thom.5 Sprou, and officer of the vessel, gave evidence and testified to the accident. The coroner's verdict was that the coolie met his death by

accident.
