very pleasant aftemoon was spent last Saturday when the Royal Welch Fusiliers gave an asault at arms on the New Parade Ground in the presedite of a large number of people. The programme had been arranged with considerable care and evidence of the excellent training the men had undergone was apparent in the manner they carried out their work. The Officer Administer ing the Government (H. E. Major General Sir W. Cascoigne K.C.M.G.,) and Lady Gascoigne wers among those present with many of the leading citizens. The Regimental band was in attendance and discoursed sweet music during the proceedings.
