NOTES AND COMMENTS:
Music for the People. Everybody will be pleased with the an- nouncement appearing in another column to the effect that a military band will play on the Parade Ground once 2 week, Hongkong has far too few amusements and recreations, and the band nights ought to grow exceedingly popular. We trust that the courtesy of the Military by turi ing up in force on Wednesday evening and that these weekly promenade concerts, if we may be allowed to so call them, will become one of the striking and most pleasing features of Hongkong life..
