A DEFAULTING CLERK-A report was made to the Singapore Police the other day that on the 24th inst. a Chinese clerk named Chang Choon Lan, employed in a Chinese druggist's shop at No. 35 Phillip Street, was entrusted with $14,700 to take to the Bank. The man disappeared-with-the- money and has not been heard of since. On the day previous he was given $8,000, but this be deposited safely in the Bank. A warrant has been issued for his arrest
