THE body of a man was found at 6 o'clock (his morning in the ruilah just bayond the Sailors Home, West Point. His name is not known yet but he is a fireman on one of the steamers in the harbour. Ile was seen last night by an Indian watchiman lying on the top of the nullah wall. The Indian advised him to go on. board his ship and the man seemed to take the advice for he left the district in an orderly manner. That was the last seen of him before he was picked up this morning. He must have returned to his previous resting place and laid on the wall, probably gone to sleep, and then fallen over into the nullah pa to the stones below. He was slightly under the influence of drink and was found with his head broken,

Last night brought the Taylor-Carrington season to an end, when the Company played "Frolicksome Faust" before a large audience. pitically all the lower part of the house was occupied, and altogether a hearty farewell was accorded for the last day of a successful sea son: The piece was a fairly good one and was made additionally attractive by the vocalists, who rendered pleasing itoms. Accordingly the coupons were col lected from those present, and a bluejacket volunteered to draw the name of the recipient of the plane cut of the bag. His first attempt was a blank coupon, but trying a second time.
