TOKYO, May 12th
An earthquake occurred under the sea off. Rikuzen Province shortly after 2.20 ani. to-day. The congratulatory addresses received at the extensive, reaching from the southern part of Imperial Household Department and the the Hokkaido in the north to the Kinki district Palace of the Crown Prince of Japan on the (Kyoto, Osaka and thereabouts) in the south roth inst. are reported to have amounted to west.
