The English capitalists who are interested in the London Company that is preparing to battle with the Standard Oil Company have, it is stated, invested 5,000,000 dols. in the oil fields in Ohio and West Virginia. It is the in- tention of the company to begin to work the oil wells as soon as the necessary apparatus can be obtained. The directors have müde arrange-, ments for carrying the oil to the coast, and they enter into their fight with a good prospect of holding their own.
