A report from the Keung cffice of the Nippon Yusen Kabba on the recent storm in Formos remarks that a diss nas phron swept Kelang and Taipeh In September, 1845 and 110 In August last year. The recent storm was, how- ever, much more destructive than those which preceded it. The centre of the disturbance parsed across the northern part of Formosa from west to exit, and proceeded towards the Ishikaki Island of the Yayeyama group. THE CHARGE OF BLACK-MAILING ADAINST THE "PALL MALL GAZETTE."
A London dispatch, dated July 27th, states that the public eximinaiton la the Bankruptcy Court into the affairs of Ernest Teah Hooley, the company promoler, for whose property, on bis own aplicasion, a receiver was appolated on July and, attracted a big crowd of people.
