THE PHILIPPINE REBELLION. Mr. J. Mausly, an American Journalist, Intely In Hongkong writes us on the 5th inst, while en route to Colombo, regarding the reballion in the Philipplaas. He spent ihres weeks in Manda and saya bo had an excellent opportunity of enquiring into the state of affairs. The rebel- lion, he says, is as formidable as ever-even mare so. The bel hare very good funds, plenty of courage and, confidence, very tale organisation, bat practically no good arms. If they bappen to get a good fastalment of arms it is thought that they will deire the Spaniards from the lands. There had not been any fr portant fighting of late but interesting develop ments are expected snon.
