Billy the complaint is es kilowa :-In September, last Mr. Watts purchased about 150 cons of coal in Northern Kwangsl from the owner of the mlac, a man named Ho Ching Cheong. Alter depoking a portion of the pur- chase money with the owner's wife, Mr. Watts, who was inffering from an attack of ague, laft his Interpreter to make arrangements for the transport of the mineral to Hongkong. Shortly after the departure of Mr. Walls, we are in- formed that He Ching Cheong and his wife word arrested and thrown Inta prison at Fa-Chuen, on the pretext that he was selling coal that did not belong to him. Mr. Walls states that the man had previously been selling goal openir alace Joly to various buyers, en had been doing so for a long period.
