KEW STEAMER BUILDING.
Arthe Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Co.'s works there is at present la course of construc- tion a very fine passenger steamer intended for the Rongkong and Kowloon Ferry Co.'s service, The new vessel is to have a rudder and screw at either end so as to avoid the loss of time in turning. Her Erat clans passengers have splendid accommodation on the upper deck, which runs almost the entire length of the vessel. Two handsomely fitted cables are provided for bad weather and the decks are suppiled with seats with moveable backs. On the deck below, the second and third class passenger accommodation will be both ample and comfortable. Thera are two companion ways from the upper deck to the lower, and a useful innovation in the boarding plank lowered from the upper part of the steamer. She has double boilers, with patent surface condenting engines, and her dimensions are:-Length, goft. brandth ́at 6ft. water line, 188.; breadth at deck moulding, zoft.; depib, maaided, Bt. 6io. She appears to be a very useful class of vessel and should prove a decided acqallion to our harbour fleet. It li expected that she will be ready for work about the beginning of September next.

In Committee on the Badget resolutions Mr. O'Connor mored an amendment to race the tes doly from 4d. to zd. per lb.
Mr. Farrell asserted that in proportion to the papulatlan more tea was consumed to Ireland ihan England. Then tes was absolutely free from duty in some of the Colonies.
Mr. Batley: What is the retall pilce in those Colonies?
Mr. Farrell did not admit that that affected the Australia, Argoment. In Victoris, South Tasmania, and Newfoundland the tax on tea was only 3d. Surely the wealthy Mother Country could afford to follow the example of her Colories in this matter.

Then they told me they could do nothing for me, one of them giving me letter of recommendation to Guy's Hospital. At Easter, 1992, my husband took ms in a ob to that hospital, and I was placed in the Miriam Ward, and examined by several doctors.
